University of New Haven is home to three Panhellenic chapters
and one associate chapter on campus. The Greek community, as a whole,
is compromised of 600 students which makes up about 12%
of the undergraduate population. There are currently around 300 women
in Panhellenic Sororities. With a large amount of students involved
in the Greek community, many of them are also involved in other organizations on campus that better the New Haven community as a whole.
There are several main aspects the University of New Haven's fraternities
and sororities focus on and emphasize in order to create and maintain
strong connections across councils and in the community:
personal growth, community engagement, brotherhood/sisterhood,
scholarship, and lifelong involvement.
The University of New Haven’s Panhellenic Conference is proud to announce
that all four social sororities are transgender and nonbinary accepting.
Anyone who identifies as a woman is welcome to participate in recruitment
and is eligible to receive a bid from one of the four organizations.
We are happy to continue the growth of our Greek community
and hope to help everyone find their home on campus.
